The first thing people ask is, why is this happening? Why am I struggling? Every big win in every area of our lives is made up of micro Yeses. Step one is not why it’s what. What are three choices?

So we have to start with the micro yeses. The two guarantees with changing of whatever type of change you’re after, it’s going to suck. But once you have your goal, throw it away, put it on the shelf, and then focus on systems.

Dismantling my entire life, burning it to the ground and starting over, not always necessary. For me, it was. I think that fresh start can be. Not at the time. It’s also kind of traumatic in many, many situations.

When we think of anxiety as a disorder instead of as a superpower, then we’re going to feel like we’re at war with ourselves. It’s really about channeling and harnessing all that unpleasant body sensation anxiety stuff and using it as energy for things that we actually want.

Get honest with yourself. Don’t believe your own BS. Create safe spaces for really ugly honest truth. An ugly truth is always preferable to the shiny lie.

Me, several times over. If you can get you filled up with things that you love and work that you like and people that love you, forgiveness becomes irrelevant. Focus on feeling and confident. Eventually, forgiveness isn’t even a thing you have to think about.
