What does it mean to be a guide, a teacher that truly empowers other people? I think of guides and teachers as mirrors and doors. It’s both empowering and terrifying to know that the answer is only inside you.
I’ve had a number of people who just believed in me. When I see something in someone, make sure that they know that I believe in them even. She says there’s a season for working with people to get their insights. There’s so much to learn, but we don’t always need to look outside.
My role is to create permission for them to see the idea that they already had. And then they kind of direct their attention to it, work it, and then fully own it. That is a beautiful moment when that happens.
